The Thorpe Thewles History Group holds meetings on the first Friday of each month in Grindon Parish Hall, Thorpe Thewles. Meetings commence at 7:00 PM.
If you would like to join us or think you may have any material, be it documents, photographs, maps or archaeological finds etc. that you would like to bring to our attention as a sources of local history relating to the Parish of Grindon then please get in contact with us.

2015 Special Anniversary FREE Membership - To mark TTHG's 10th anniversary membership will be open to all at with all membership fees waived until January 2016. Benefits of this level of membership include;

Normal Membership Fees Pre & Post 2015
New members are always welcomed into the group. Two levels of membership are available and are tailored to meet the requirements of the individual. Full Membership - Designed for those that want to take a full and active roll in the group and assist (if they would like) in organisational activities and research project work. Benefits of this level of membership include;

Free entry to all TTHG exhibitions and organised talks (nominally four are arranged each year). | |
Free use of the group's growing CD-ROM library of antiquarian and local history e-books plus entry to TTHG Website members’ only project resource area. | |
Free entitlement to the group's quarterly newsletters. | |
25% off the recommended donation price or cost of all TTHG publications and postcards etc. |
Annual Cost - £20 for individuals or £25 for couples/families.
Associate Membership - Designed for those that want to keep up with all the latest news and findings but who are not able or necessarily want to get more actively involved in any of the group's organisational activities or research projects. Benefits of this level of membership include;

Annual Cost - £5.
To join the TTHG then just send either a cheque or postal order made out to Thorpe Thewles History Group for a value appropriate to the level of membership required to;
